Additions can help homeowners in a variety of circumstances. Maybe you need more space for a boomerang child. Maybe your aging relatives need to live with someone to ensure they’re well cared for. Maybe you’d rather turn your rarely used backyard space into a large new kitchen. Maybe your expanding family needs and new floor.
Whatever your reason for wanting a new addition, we’re here to help. With Jeff and Pam Sarris, you get the benefit of design expertise, master craftsmanship and insightful interior decorating. Through their innovative process, you can get fully fleshed out idea of what your new addition will look like and cost before we drive in the first nail. That’s the beauty of a full-service firm.
Additions give our clients the versatility of expanding their home’s footprint. Unlike renovations, a home addition means you can grow your home’s size without even adding to the lot.
If you love your neighborhood, why leave it? You could be living in the future home of your dreams and not even realize it. An addition can transform the way you live, opening up a plethora of options, from new rooms to reconfiguring the current rooms. And new rooms mean new interior decoration options that give your life a fresh feel. With a complete vision from start to finish, you’ll know that you’re getting exactly what you want.

Our 4-Step Home Addition Process
We know how to make the addition process easy. We keep things streamlined and simple. Our 4-step additions process especially makes things easy for our clients:
Step 1
Meet Jeff to go over your additions plans and ideas. Jeff is a master at designing to a budget, so in this first step, it’s crucial to lay out how much you plan on spending and what results you want to see from those expenditures. From this first meeting we will submit a free estimate with a price based on your vision.
Step 2
We produce a 3D model that show you your additions as a finished product. This is a great opportunity to figure out what you like and don’t like about the plan. It’s the best way to see if the finished product will meet your vision of what your new addition will be.
Step 3
Additions require permits. We’ll take care of those with our newly developed detailed schematics. This requires little attention on your part, and homeowners are typically very happy to have this out of sight and out of mind.
Step 4
Construction begins. With other contractors, this is the part homeowners dread, but with us, it’s easy because we’re efficient, and you’ll love what you’re getting. We use our own crews to limit subcontracting. That way, we can control the experience.
Our customers trust our process as much as we do. Our results from major renovations to small additions are testament to how true that is.
The Value of Interior Design for Additions
When you undertake an addition, you can drastically change the character of a home. Some of our clients want to open up their home, and use the extra space to expand shared, multi-use living areas so they can spend more time with friends and loved ones. Others want these new spaces to stand alone, creating enclaves for a specific purpose, like for example all the trappings of an efficiencies apartment for a loved one who needs an independent place to stay.
As you can see, there is no one-size-fits-all solution for home additions. When you’re drastically changing the character of a home, you need to make sure that you either retain the design aesthetic of the original home in the new space, or completely change the rest of the home to match the new space. Or if you intend for your addition to be a space for independent living, you probably want it to have a character all its own.
With any of these scenarios, you need to think carefully about how to achieve your artistic goals for the new space. Your whole home should seem unified after an addition, even if that addition is a new independent living space for a loved one. The way to achieve that goal is through world-class interior design. Pam will help you make all the difficult choices that come with home additions and keep your budget in shape while she does it.
